Solution:
Check and verify that the EzParts OEM spare parts database is installed on the local PC and that the database is not being accessed over over the network. EzUpdater is limited by design to updating EzParts electronic spare parts catalog databases only on the local machine. If your database is located on a different machine or server please execute the EzUpdater parts catalog data update tool locally on that computer system
For computer systems with locally installed databases edit the Windows Registry manually using the steps below:
- Click the Windows' Start menu, and then click Run
- In the Open box enter regedit, and then click OK. The Registry Editor window appears.
- In the Registry Editor window go to My computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Systems Online,Inc.
- Right click the Systems Online,Inc folder; from the context menu select New -> Key.
- Type EzParts as the name for the new key, and then press Enter.
- Right click in the right section of the Registry Editor window; select New -> String Value from the context menu.
- Type InstallDir as the name of the new string value and then press Enter.
- Double click the newly create InstallDir string. The Edit String window will appear.
- Enter the EzParts electronic parts catalog software's install location into the Value Data field, by default this value is usually C:\Program Files(x86)\EzParts5 (for 64-bits Windows) or C:\Program Files\EzParts5(for 32-bits Windows). Then click OK.
- Close the Registry Editor window and restart EzParts5Updater.exe.
You can now update EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog Software with the EzParts5Updater.
