Searching for Parts

Use the following steps to search for parts:

1. Click the tab with the magnifying glass on the Navigation Tree or the Search button on the Main Toolbar to open a new Search tab.



2. Enter a part number or part description into the Search for field. For more information, refer to the the Rules for Entering Search String article.



3. Select Part numbers or/and Part descriptions from the drop-down list under the Search for field.



4. Check Current Model Only to search for parts in the model which is currently selected in the Navigation Tree Area. If no model is currently selected, this option is disabled.



5. Check Show Prices to see the price columns in search results.



6. Click the Search button or press Enter on the keyboard to start the search process. The program will find all parts, which match your search criteria.



7. The search results will be displayed on the Part numbers/Part descriptions tab. Click on the part to see the corresponding schematics and models in the Part found in resources section.

8. Click the reference in the Resource list in the Part found in resources section to display the schematic with the highlighted part in the Schematic Parts List. Click the reference in the Model list to navigate to the model.
